Renewable Generation
Helio Mesa
A utility-scale solar field optimized for extreme heat, low water use, and predictable daytime output.
310 MW
Sonoran Desert, USA
Challenge
Extreme module temperatures, airborne dust, and limited cleaning water threatened yield and operating cost across the desert site.
Solution
We combined heat-aware electrical design, terrain-responsive row spacing, dry-cleaning robotics, and a forecasting layer tuned to local atmospheric conditions.
Result
The plant achieved strong daytime availability while reducing water demand and limiting thermal derating during the most valuable production hours.
VERIFIED IMPACT
94% daytime availability
Compared with the project baseline and documented in the operating handover.
